Trouble Printing or Displaying Form 1601 / Registration Transmittal or other PDF pagesPrintable

The www.redwoodsoccer.org site can generate forms and reports in the pdf format. PDF files require the program Acrobat Reader. Most computers have a copy of Acrobat Reader. Acrobat Reader can be downloaded free from the web.

Some of the forms can be that can be printed using data from the datablase include:

  • Player 1601 Form. Look for this symbol register next to a Player's Name
  • Playing League Transmittal / Roster Form. Look for a hyperlink from the Registration-Transmittal page or for the registration symbol.
  • Reports / Standings / Documents. Look for a hyperlink associated with the pdf symbol.

When you click on a icon to generate or display a pdf form, your computer should open Acrobat Reader and display the form. The form is dynamically filled in with the then current data from the database. If you wish, you can use the Acrobat Reader functions to then print a copy of the form or save the form to your computer.

For some browser / operating system combinations, it is difficult to save the generated pdf form. A right click over the hyperlink to the pdf document will bring up a 'Save Target As' option which will allow you to save the pdf document.

Some Users have encountered a completely blank (white) screen when they try to generate a pdf document. Sometimes you might get "The file is damaged and cannot be repaired". Other Users get 'FPDF error: Cannot open cysaform1601.pdf' or something similar. These errors are probably a result of an interaction between Adobe, your Browser and the pdf generation on the website. If you get this, you have several options.

  1. Tell us about your problem. Contact the webmaster . We'll need to know your browser and computer and Acrobat Reader version.
  2. Use another computer. Log on at another computer to print out your forms.
  3. Upgrade your Acrobat Reader. Adobe Acrobat Website->

Some of the pdf files generated on the website are transmitted to your desktop using data encryption. This is known as SSL mode. Encrypted data is transmitted whenever the URL in your browser starts with HTTPS:// . The 'S' indicates that the site is secure. However, some browsers cannot accept downloads of encrypted data. In this situation you can force the browser out of the encrypted mode by removing the 's' from https:/ (change to http:/) and sending the page to the server again.
