Links to Facilitate Google Searches In the Topics Table there is a flag you can set called 'Hidden'. When the Hidden flag is set this particular Topic will have an invisible link on the Information page. The invisible link will be found by search engine spiders (Google, Yahoo, etc.). Someone who conducts a Google search will be able to find these topics even if they do not have normal access to them (Because they are in the private portion of the site like in Manager:FAQ). The advantage of including these tags in the Information page is that the Site google search mechanism can be used by Users and Visitors alike to find information in the Stuff to Know and FAQ portions of the site. Do not use the hidden flag on any information that you do not available to the world wide web. |
